The new vision of reality is ecological, but it goes far beyond immediate concerns with environmental protection. It is supported by modern science, but rooted in a perception of reality than reaches beyond the scientific framework to an intuitive awareness of the oneness of all life, the interdependence of its multiple manifestations, and its cycles of change and transformation. When the concept of the human spirit is understood in the transpersonal sense, as the mode of consciousness in which the individual feel connected to the cosmos as a whole, it becomes clear that ecological awareness is truly spiritual.

Human personality is a multi-levelled manifestations or expression of a single Consciousness, just as in physical the elecro-magnetic spectrum is viewed as a multi-banded expression of a single, characteristic electro-magnetic wave….each level of the Spectrum is marked by a different and easily recognized sense of individual identity, which ranges from the Supreme Indentity of cosmic-consciouness through several gradations or bands to the drastically narrowed sense of identity associated with egoic consciousness.

Death is simply a shedding of the physical body like the butterfly shedding its cocoon. It is a transition to a higher state of consciousness where you continue to perceive, to understand, to laugh, and to be able to grow. The only thing you loose is something that you don`t need any more, your physical body. It`s like putting away your winter coat when spring comes. You know that the coat is shabby and you don`t want to wear it any more. That`s virtually what death is about…..

After we pass through this visually very beautiful and individually appropriate form of transition, say the tunnel, we are approaching a source of light that many people who had experience of NDE describe. This is called cosmic consciousness. In the presence of this light, which most people in our western hemisphere call Christ or God, or love or light, we are surrounded by total and absolute unconditional love, understanding and compassion.
